Unboxing: Tamiya Yamaha YZR-M1’04 No.7/No.33 1/12 14100
Today i’m going to unbox the Tamiya Yamaha YZR-M1’04 No.7/No.33 in 1/12th scale.
This version of the YZR-M1 represents the bikes ridden in the 2004 season by Carlos Checa, Spain’s number 1 rider and the 2nd fastest Yamaha racer, and Italian Marco Melandri, 2002 World Champion in the 250cc Class. While much of the attention was focused on Rossi during the 2004 season, Checa performed consistently, coming in 2nd in France, while Melandri made the top 3 in Spain and Holland. This model faithfully reproduces the YZR-M1’s compact, streamlined design, and finely molded cowling.
The Tamiya Yamaha YZR-M1’04 No.7/No.33 comes in the usual Tamiya box with the finished model up front with some information about the model. The Box is the normal bike format. On the side of the box some more information about the bike with a clear view on the engine.

Let’s start the unboxing!
The first parts you see are the wheels, nuts and polycaps. Also included are the screwdriver and black hose for the brakes.

A white sprue contains the bodywork of the bike. A small white sprue is provided for the front nose parts.

The engine is presented in a grey sprue including exhaust and front suspension parts.

A black sprue contains the wheels, brakes and the rest of the frame and bodyparts.

Then you get to the decals.

The paperwork comes with some background information of the bike and of course the building instructions. These are typical Tamiya. Easy to read and clear instructions.

And with almost every bike kit from Tamiya… always get the front fork set which upgrades your kit with some more detail!
